In Memory Of
Levonne Eldon "Toby" Wright
1937 - 2016
Toby was born April 15, 1937 in Whiteville, North Carolina to the late Cole Blease and Alice Dimmery Wright. He was also preceded in death by his sister Dianne Scott.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rita; daughter, April Pecot; grandchildren, Ashley and Corey Pecot; brothers, James (Doris) Wright and George Wright; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert (Janet) Blanton and Michael (Lisa) Westmoreland, and many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Columbia High School in Columbia, South Carolina in 1956. He was with the National Guard for several years (1959 Sgt. Eldon L. Wright).
Toby was born into a musical family and developed a love for music at a young age. That love began a lifelong career of singing and playing the keyboard and organ up and down the east coast. Late in life he worked for Fletcher's Music and Baldwin Piano and Organ Center and eventually opened Wright's Piano and Music Center where he continued to entertain people though his concerts up until his retirement. His hobbies were golfing, fishing, cooking, reading, and children loved to hear his "Donald Duck" voice.
Toby was loved and respected by all that met him. He always kept a positive attitude and always had a smile on his face.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of St. Francis.
