David Johnson
1962 - 2016

David Wayne Johnson, 53, departed this life peacefully and joined his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. David was born on October 23, 1962 in Lexington, KY to Wayne and Clarice Johnson. He was one of four children. In 1964, his family moved to the beautiful "Sunshine State", where David was happy to call home.

He was raised in Fort Myers where his father provided pastoral care for the surrounding communities. David enlisted into the U.S. Air Force in 1980, following his honorable service, he later attended Brevard County Community College and furthered his studies at the University of Central Florida earning a B.S. in Engineering Technology.

David was a dedicated professional, developing a multitude of experience in his field, specializing in solving complex industrial problems and improving quality control. Outside of work, he truly appreciated the precious gift of life. Some of his many hobbies included: scuba diving, offshore fishing, tennis and motor sports. He also enjoyed, building and customizing computers but most of all, spending quality time with his family and friends.

He leaves memories to be cherished by his beloved wife, Debra; parents, Wayne and Clarice; brothers, Kenny and Daryl; sister Karen, nieces, and extended family members.

David will be remembered as a remarkable engineer who blessed us with his love of God, family and country. His kind soul will rest in our hearts forever.
