Clara Rose Sandroni
1929 - 2016

Clara Rose Sandroni died peacefully surrounded by her family on October 12, 2016 in Orlando, Florida at the age of 87. She was born on June 7, 1929 in Sayre, Pennsylvia, to Constantino and Louisa Quatrini Sandroni.

Clara graduated from Sayre High School in 1947 and she worked hard as a factory worker to support her six children until she moved to Orlando in 1968. Clara owned and operated the Sandroni’s Italian Market in Winter Park where she worked tirelessly for 20 years hand making authentic Italian pastas, sauces, meatballs, sausages, subs, pizzas and breads. Clara then worked in the Cafeteria at Glenridge Middle School and Discovery Middle School for 10 years before retiring.

Clara was a very loving and dedicated mother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clara loved spending time with her family and over the years she showed them the true meaning of love, forgiveness, and strength. Her family will deeply miss her caring soul, loving hugs, beautiful smile and her home cooked Italian food but her legacy will continue through her large extended family.

Clara is survived by her children, Louise (John) Viruet, Rosemarie Raupers, Jeanne Prior, Debra Whitmire and Joseph Brown; her grandchildren, John (Teresa) Saxon, Christina (Joseph) Page, Teresa Casterline, Tonya (Rick) Bloom, Terrance (Marilyn) Casterline, Timothy Casterline, Melissa Raupers, Gina (Patrick) Browder, Amanda Brown, and Niko Sandroni; brother, Louis (Gail) Sandroni; fifteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Brown and William Davis; son, Herbert Sandroni; sisters, Mollie Menendez and Jennie Okey; brothers, Thomas, Joseph, Julius, Angelo and John Sandroni.

A funeral is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 335 E State Rd 434, Longwood, FL 32750, with a burial at Glen Haven Memorial Park and a celebration of Clara’s life will follow at The Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1900 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida 32822. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Clara’s life. The family would like to thank the skilled staff at Cornerstone Hospice Care Center at Orlando Health for their compassion and dedication in caring for Clara and for the extraordinary support they provided to her family.
