RUTH ANN NICHOLS

Ruth Ann Nichols, 76, of Orlando, FL, and formerly of Charleston, WV and Raleigh, NC passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the Cornerstone Hospice Care Center in Orlando, FL, after a short illness surround by her family and close friend.

Ruth Ann was a graduate of East Bank High School, and was employed by Beneficial Finance for 18 years prior to joining Union Carbide/Rhone-Poulenc in the Accounts Payable Department In 1976. She later transferred to Raleigh with Rhone-Poulenc as a Manager of Accounts Payable where she later retired with over 25 years of service. Ruth Ann enjoyed spending time with her son, cooking and being with friends and family.

Ruth Ann is survived by her son Fred W. Petry of Altamonte Springs, FL, Sister Shelby J. Washko and her husband Joseph of Hinckley, OH, brothers E. Wray Petry of Orlando, FL, Ron P. Petry of Altamonte Springs and James E. and wife Anna Lou Petry of Hurricane, WV, close cousin Karlon Roop of Ghanna, OH and 8 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother Ronnie H. and Marjorie Petry formerly of Cross Lanes, WV.

The family wants to express their gratitude to the staffs at the Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care and the ORMC/Florida Health Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that gifts be made as a donation to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445-Lane Park RD, Tavares, FL 32778 in honor of Ruth Ann.

Services will be at Noon, Saturday, November 26, at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole Chapel, Longwood, FL with the Reverend Randall Petry officiating. The family will receive friends at 11 AM at the funeral home prior to the service.
