Mary Chin, age 95, of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away on November 25, 2016.

She was born on May 17, 1921 in Jamaica, West Indies and was the youngest of 12 siblings. As a young woman, she met Cosmo Levy-Chin, who would go on to become her husband. The couple would eventually move to England where they would create two children, Cosmo Jr., also known as “Lee”, and Richard. The couple eventually moved back to Jamaica where they lived in Kingston. A daughter, Lesley Anne Marie, was born there.
In 1970 the family emigrated to the United States where they lived in a quiet neighborhood in Queens, New York. After many years and concurrent with Cosmo’s retirement she, Cosmo, Lee and Anne Marie would move to Orlando, Florida.

Mary was a faithful woman and wife and was devoted to her children. She was a gifted seamstress and made clothes for many. She was a deeply religious woman who loved God. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Cosmo Levy-Chin, her grandson Brandon Levychin, and is the last of 12 siblings. She is survived by her 3 children, Lee, Anne Marie, and Richard, and her 2 grandchildren, Richard “RJ” Levychin, Jr., and Ryan Levychin.

Visitation is Friday, December 2, 2016 from 9 am to 10am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Seminole Chapel which is located at 335 E. SR434 Longwood, Florida 32750. It will be followed by a 11am gravesite service at Highland Memory Gardens.
