In Memory Of
John W. Crawford
1961 - 2017
John was a wonderful husband, father, and son. He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Shelly, and their 4 children; Brice, Preston, Tessa, and Cara. He is also survived by his mother, Beverly (of Vienna, OH) and 2 brothers; Joe and Tim.
A life-long learner, John earned a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Youngstown State University of Ohio, working the last 28 years at Duke Energy. He greatly enjoyed solving computer problems, tutoring in Math, and encouraging others. John was a “Do-it-Yourself” kind of man… He always liked the challenge of learning how to do a new project himself, rather than hiring someone to do it.
In his free time, John enjoyed fishing, being the “Grill-Master,” and spending time with his family. He was known for his quick wit, telling silly jokes to make the family laugh. He will be missed as a favorite son-in-law, and the uncle to so many nieces and nephews, who had the gift of making each person feel special.
