William “Bill” Hartley Brewster, 78, passed away on March 21, 2017, at his home in Titusville, Florida. He was born on February 23, 1939 in South Bay, Florida, to Simon and Elsie Brewster.

Bill grew up in Inverness, Florida in his younger years and then his family moved to Cocoa. He graduated from Cocoa High School in 1957. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy until 1961. He retired from Boeing after 30 years in 2001.

Bill married Celia Poteet in 1962 in Titusville. They were married for 54 years. Bill always enjoyed the outdoors, and especially the beach, and he came from the generation of men that could fix anything.

Bill is survived by his wife, Celia; their daughters Alicia and Vicki and son-in-law Ric; his sister Alice; their grandchildren Austin, Lauren, Cailin, Emily, Trenton and Caden; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Simon and Elsie and his brother Robert.

A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home at 2400 S. Washington Avenue in Titusville on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., with a service immediately thereafter. Burial will follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at 2116 Garden Street in Titusville.
