On the morning of April 5th, 2017, Wilbur “Jack” Foulkes unexpectedly passed away at Solaris Healthcare in Merritt Island Fl.. After a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease, he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
He was born Nov 5, 1935 in Glassborro, NJ to parents Wilbur and Elizabeth Foulkes. He had 2 siblings, brother Guy Foulkes and sister Charlotte Grasso, both from New Jersey.
Jack was a veteran of the US armed forces serving in the Army and National guard in the 1950's.
Soon after, he was married to his wife Mabel who passed away in June of 2001.
Together they had 2 children. Son John Foulkes who lives in VA and daughter Sharon Parlow who lives in FL.
They lived much of their lives in Barrington, NJ before moving to Fredricksburg, VA. It was there where Jack pursued his passion, family business, Foulkes Racecars.
Jack will be missed by his two children, 3 grandchildren: Barbara, Janet and Katie and 4 great- grandchildren: Riley, Aiden, Connor, and Olivia.
Jack shared his birthdate, November 5th and his love of race cars with great-grandson Aiden.
A memorial celebrating Jack's life is being planned for the near future. It will be held near Fredricksburg, VA where Jack will be laid to rest with his wife Mabel at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
