Thurman “Buddy” Killian, Jr., 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 8, 2017 in Orlando, FL. He was born on July 25, 1935 to the late Thurman and Ollie Sharp-Killian.

Buddy was a native to Scottsboro, AL where he met the love of his life, Sue Allen. They married on May 20, 1955 and together raised one daughter. He honorably served in the US NAVY and later led a successful career in the aerospace industry, retiring from NASA in 1990.

Buddy will be remembered for always being in good spirits. He enjoyed traveling, quality time with his family, and the outdoors, especially when playing a good round of golf.

Left to cherish memories are his beloved wife, Sue; daughter, Kathy Finley (Jeffrey); cousin, Earl Bradford and a host of extended family members and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

Inurnment will take place at 11:30AM on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Buddy to: Cornerstone Hospice Foundation 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
