Harlen L. McCauslin, Sr., passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born May 8, 1921 to William and Dora
McCauslin in Millersburg, Ohio. They moved soon after his birth to Alliance, OH, where he lived until he graduated from Alliance High School in 1939.

He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps, attended the Airplane and Engineering Mechanics School, spent 23 years in the aircraft engineering field and retired in 1962 as a Chief Warrant Officer. He served in WW II and the Korean War.
During his Air Force career he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. After retiring from the service he attended Florida State University and obtained a Master of Science degree. He was then employed by the Florida Department of Education for 21 years.

He was a longtime member of the Airstream Travel Club where he served a term as Regional President.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and 2 brothers; and by Martha, his wife of 67 years, and their 2 children, Harlen Jr. and William Timothy. He is survived by 4 grandsons, 5 great grandchildren, 2 step-great grandsons and 2 step-great, great granddaughters.
