Helen passed away peacefully and in her sleep on Friday, May 26, 2017, in Apopka, Florida. She was born in Abingdon, Virginia and was 85 years old.
Helen retired from JC Penney's Co. in the late 1980s. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Bristol and a member of Curves Bristol and Florida.

Helen lived in Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia until 2003 when she moved to Florida to live with her daughter and son in law Valerie and Michael Bennett. Her husband, Charlie Harless, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her two children Valerie Bennett of Longwood, Florida and Dean Harless of Marietta, Georgia. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Chris, Kim and Caitlin and two great grandchildren, Seth and Emily. Helen has one surviving brother, Bobby Tate of Bristol, Tennessee.
