Rita Ramos, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19, 2017 in Cocoa, FL. She was born on June 4, 1934 in Caguas, PR to the late Eufemio Casillas and Susana Merced. Rita was the eldest of eight children.

Rita has been a resident of Cocoa since 1996 coming from Caguas, PR. She was an active member of the Casa De Dios, Merritt Island. For the majority of her career, she worked as a supervisor for the garment industry.

She leaves memories to be cherished by her beloved husband of 36 years, Saturnino Ramos; daughters, Nora and Judy Catano; grandchildren, Brenda Becker, Daniel Catano, Katie Catano and Taylor Aponte; great-grandchildren, Amaya and Jeremiah; five brothers, one sister and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Her kind and precious spirit will remain in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held from 5PM to 9PM on Thursday, June 22nd at Newcomer Funeral Home, Space Coast Chapel, 2400 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville, FL. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 12PM on Friday, June 23rd at the Space Coast Chapel following with interment at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL.
