Roberto Cosio departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the age of 65. He was born in Camajuani, Cuba on September 28, 1951 to Roberto and Felipa (Martinez) Cosio.
Roberto will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, grandfather and friend. At the age of 14, he left Cuba for Long Island, New York where he worked in the printing industry as a pressman. In 1986, he moved from New York to Florida and called it home ever since.
He leaves wonderful memories to be cherished by his mother, Felipa Cosio; brother, Nelson Cosio; his children, Robert Cosio (Donna), Michael Cosio (Linda), Michelle Cosio, and Anthony Cosio; and his beloved grandchildren, Emily, Kevin, Olivia, Nathan and Claire. Roberto will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 17th at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Seminole Chapel, 335 East State Road 434, Longwood, FL 32750.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 18th at 10:30 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1501 Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32828. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2400 Harrell Road, Orlando, Florida 32817.
In lieu of flowers, Mass cards would be appreciated by the family.
