In Memory Of
John A. Steyer
1960 - 2017

Early morning, Tuesday, September 5th, 2017, John August Steyer, age 57, went to rest in the arms of his Heavenly Father after a long and arduous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Kristine, his sister, Cheryl, two sons, Jason and Adam, and his two adoring grandchildren, Sarah and Levi.

Born in Flint, Michigan in 1960 to parents Theodore Steyer and Ileen Steyer, John always enjoyed sports, family, and serving the Lord. After, graduating from Michigan State University, he moved to Florida, as he always loved the warm weather. It was there that he met his beloved wife, Kris, where they wed, raising two sons together.

A loyal servant of Christ, John notoriously placed God, his family, and his friends ahead of himself. When waters were rough, he held fast through them like an island, and carried his entire family on his back. The void that is left in the hearts of his loved ones is great, but the memory of his strength, patience, and perseverance will live forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations can be made to the Florida Cancer Specialist Foundation 5202 Paylor Lane Sarasota, Florida 34240. Telephone # 941-677-7181. For more information please visit Foundation.FLCancer.com/Memorial.
