He was born November 26, 1939 in Steubenville, Ohio, the beloved son of the late James and Bertha (Smalley) McNichols. James was one of nine children.
He furthered his studies at Miami Dade Junior College, earning his associates degree. He later led a successful career in the airline industry, retiring as a supervisor.
Memories will be cherished by his wife of 38 years, Sharyn McNichols; children, Troy McNichols and Ricky McNichols (Natalie); sisters, Helen McLeish and Mary McNichols; brother, John McNichols; grandsons, Ethan McNichols, Jeremy McNichols, and Isaac McNichols; as well as his canine companion, Sweetie and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held from 10AM-11AM on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Orlando, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, with a funeral service to follow at 11AM. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of James to: Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, 2727 Conroy Road Orlando, FL 32839.
