Luz Maria Santos Rivera passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. She was born on September 9, 1925 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She is survived by her daughter Luz Esther Cruz, sons Angelo and Carmelo Colon, Alexander, Herminio, Nelson, Jesus and Enrique Rivera, sisters Maggie, Auria, Consuela, Nora and bother Calines Rivera and many extended family members.

She was a retired entrepreneur Who owned and operated a restaurant. She was skilled at gardening and had a great singing voice.

Not only was she the pillar of strength for our family, but she was also a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother who was cherished by a family who loved her dearly. As a family we will always cherish the moments we got to be in her sweet embrace, hear her laughter, and see the pure joy that was draped across her face when she would prepare a home cooked meal for us all during holiday gatherings.

Services will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 6 PM-8PM at Newcomer Funerals & Receptions, Orlando 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822. A 1:00 PM funeral service at the funeral home and burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery 1603 Greenwood St, Orlando, FL 32801.
