BASORE, LOIS E "Pat".

She passed away peacefully on February 14, 2018 in Winter Park, FL, at the age of 96. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, FL 32750 (407-260-5400).

Pastor Jay Salamone from Action Church in Winter Springs, FL, will officiate. Visitors are then invited to her daughter’s (Melissa Vellequette) home immediately after the memorial service, where they will be greeted by friends. The family will proceed to a private graveside service after the memorial service, then to Melissa’s home.

Pat was born on 11/30/21 in Cambridge, OH, to Freda Mae and Walter Joseph Patterson and was married to Charles Raymond “Ray” Basore on February 1, 1954, who preceded her in death in 1988. She is survived by her daughter (Melissa Vellequette of Winter Springs, FL), her sister (Marjorie Bartlett of Winter Park, FL), two grandchildren (Ashley Sheaffer and Adam Vellequette, both of Winter Springs, FL) and a great-granddaughter (Charley Sheaffer).

Pat was a dance instructor for many years at PAR Dance Studio, a dance studio she and her husband, Ray, started, in Marion, Ohio, in the late 50’s, and the love of dance and music never left her.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Action Church in Winter Springs may be made by writing a check to "Action Church" and providing it to the family, so they may donate it in her name.
