George C. Schneider Sr., age 92, of Haines City, FL and formerly of Dayton, OH passed away surrounded by family on Friday, July 13, 2018.

He was born in Akron, OH to the late Phillip and Mary Schneider. Preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Matilda Schneider.

George is survived by his children, Crystal (Marty) Williams, George (Donna) Schneider Jr., and Claudia (Steve) Ballinger; grandchildren, Jamie, Greg, Shannon, Matthew, Steven, and Doug; great grandchildren, Zachary, Michael, Brendon, Victoria, Jenifer, and Nathan; and many other relatives and friends.

He was a US Navy veteran of WWII, retired from Dayton Supply & Tool Co. after 30 years, and member of Masonic Lodge #729. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and will be remembered for his charismatic smile. He loved fishing, camping, and woodworking.

Private family service to take place at Dayton National Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (East Orlando Chapel).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s memory to Good Shepherd’s Hospice, Auburndale, FL.
