David C. Whatley, Jr. passed away on July 16 at the age of 87. He was born in Tuskegee, Alabama to Rosabell and David C. Whatley. Sr.

After serving 27 years in the Air Force, he retired in Christmas, Florida.

David was predeceased by his wife Valerie Ann Whatley. He is survived by his daughter Sara and her husband Gary Tomlinson, and his son Robert and his wife Karen Whatley; grandchildren, Jessica Dasher, Zachery and Hannah Whatley; special friends Mary and Jim Haralson along with many other family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements are by Newcomer of Titusville. The viewing will be held at Ft. Christmas Cemetery Chapel Saturday, July 21 at 9:00 am for the family, 9:30 am - 10:00 am for friends and loved ones. His service will follow at 10:00 am, performed by Pastor Delbert Redditt and Pastor Ken Mann.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Ft. Christmas Baptist Church, Christmas, Florida.
