Henry Berkowitz, age 96, died on March 20 at his home in Winter Springs, Florida. Henry is survived by his wife Eva, daughters Ann and Beverly, and grandchildren Amy, Diedre, Faith, Jessica, and Sari Dawn. He is preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy, son Alfred, and grandson Alan Richard.

Henry was a proud veteran, member of the Flying Tigers in WWII, for which he was decorated with a Purple Heart. For decades, he managed and owned Winer Brothers Hardware Store in Beverly, MA. Throughout his life, Henry had a deep love for animals and was passionate about giving back to his community and serving others. He volunteered tirelessly for political candidates that he believed would serve the best interests of their constituents.


The funeral service was held Wednesday March 25th 2015 at the Parkside Fellowship Church of the Nazarene in Longwood Florida. Burial will take place in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Henry would like donations to be made to The Sharing Center, 600 N. Highway 17-92, Suite 158, Longwood, FL 32750, 407.260.9155.
