In Memory Of
Betty Ruth Dilsaver Earle
1927 - 2015

Betty Ruth Dilsaver Earle passed away peacefully, after having been surrounded all day by friends and her loving family, on March 27th at The Mayflower Retirement Community in Winter Park. Born in 1927 in Supply, NC, she grew up in St. Augustine, FL. She attended Florida Southern College and Florida State University. She has been married to William S. Earle, Jr. for 65 years. They have lived in Orlando since 1953 where they raised their 4 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, two sisters and her daughter, Karen Earle Brown. Surviving are her husband Bill Earle, also at The Mayflower, son Larry Earle of Raleigh, NC, daughter Barbara Bennett of Sunrise FL, daughter Marsha Earle of Oviedo FL and son-in-law Kenny Brown of Winder, GA, along with 6 grand children and a great granddaughter.

A long time member of the College Park Baptist Church, Betty was guided by her faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend to many. She could always be found at the side of her husband Bill for work, social, Rotary and family events. Betty loved to travel to visit family and friends, which included many road trips across the US. She and Bill also traveled extensively to other countries where they always made new friends.

A kind, sweet, upbeat person to everyone she came into contact with, she had an amazing ability to remember people's names and to connect with them. Her memory remained clear until the day of her passing from cancer at the age of 87.

Besides working part time for a local doctor for many years, Betty loved spending time on genealogy, Chinese cooking, Rotary activities and playing bridge.

Her funeral will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home at 895 South Goldenrod Rd in Orlando on Wed, April 1, with visitation at 1:00 PM followed by a service at 2:00. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Sanford, FL. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the Church on the Drive Building Fund, 1914 Edgewater Dr., Orlando FL 32804. A memorial service will also be held at the Mayflower Retirement Community at a later date.

The family wants to express their appreciation to the faithful friends who regularly visited, those who sent endless warm wishes for Betty, as well as the wonderful care and support provided by the staff at the Mayflower Heath Center and most recently by Cornerstone Hospice. Betty Earle will be missed by all who knew her.
