In Memory Of
Carina Grimaldi
1926 - 2016

Carina Grimaldi was born May 3, 1926 in Brooklyn New York to the parents of Angelina and Carmelo Fragapane. She was one of twelve children and the youngest daughter of the family. She attended Eastern District High School and later joined her sisters working as a seamstress in Manhattan. She married her husband , Pat Grimaldi , of fifty three years in 1946.

She had three sons Richard , Robert and Patrick and lovingly raised them as a stay at home Mom. "Kay", as she was known, was a great cook and tutored her daughter in laws in the art of Italian cooking. She was a great host for all holidays.

She was close to her brothers and sisters especially Uncle Charlie, the youngest Fragapane. "Dad" her soulmate died in 1999. It amazed many how she was able to handle many of her own affairs after Dad had passed. Finally she decided to move to Heathrow, Florida. She acclimated very nicely but she never gave up her identity as a New Yorker. During the last two and a half years she developed many close friendships with her ladies group at the Hamptons. She was active socially to the end and meeting her you would never guess her age. She leaves behind her sons, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Ash Wednesday February 10th. Services will be here locally and her remains will be sent back to New York for burial next to her husband at All Faiths Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens, New York.

She touched the lives of all that knew her and will be externally be missed and remembered.
