Richard "Dick" Padgett, age 84, of Orlando, FL passed away Sunday March 4, 2018.

He was born on June 10, 1933 in Center Hill, FL to the late Berry and Sarah Elizabeth Padgett. He is also preceded in death by his son, Richard Padgett.

Survivors include his wife, Aunita E. Padgett; children, Michael Padgett and Janice Plunkett; grandchildren, Paul David Padgett, Norma Elizabeth Padgett, R.J. White, Crystal Lucas, Vanessa White, Judge Max Padgett, Sara Padgett, and Savanna Padgett; many great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Stableton; and brother, Dan Padgett.

A loving husband, father and grandfather. Married 65 years. So many memories will be in my heart until we meet again. Dick was in the US Air Force for 20 years and worked at Channel 9 for 28 years. He has been active in the American Legion, Korean Veterans Team among other organizations. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites, and a member of Aloma Methodist Church. My life is filled with memories that I will cherish. The love of my life and a very special person. Love you always, Nita.

Visitation is Tuesday March 13, 2018 from 7pm to 9pm with funeral service starting at 8:30pm at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (East Orlando Chapel).

Graveside service is Wednesday March 14, 2018 starting at 1pm at the Tuscanooga Baptist Church Cemetery, 18540 Tuscanooga Rd, Groveland, FL 34736.

Arrangements are by the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (East Orlando Chapel).
