Charles “Chuck” Armour Jaap Sr. , 77, Casselberry, Fl, passed away peacefully with his family nearby on June 4, 2018.

Chuck was born on March 8, 1941 in Washington County, Pennsylvania to the late Robert Armour Jaap Sr. and Amelia (Hochkraut) Jaap. Chuck was a graduate of Portage High School, Class of 1959. After graduating high school Chuck enlisted in the United States Navy retiring after 24 years in Orlando, Fl as a Master Chief. On February 10, 1961, Chuck married his forever sweetheart the late Lois (Clapperton) Jaap, formerly of Portage PA. After retiring from the United States Navy he continued working with the United States Postal Service and retired after 20 years.

During his retirement, Chuck was an avid golfer at the Deer Run Country Club located in Casselberry, Fl, where he was a member for 28 years and also a member of the Men’s Golf Association.

Chuck is proceeded in death by 4 siblings and is survived by his brother Robert (Barbara) Jaap of Buffalo NY., daughter Cinthia (Larry) Sampson and his son Charles (Teresa) Jaap Jr. He also has 6 grandchildren, Abigail (Joshua) Mintkenbaugh, Hannah Sampson, Micaiah Sampson, Tawni Small, Taylor Small, and Tiana Small.

Friends are invited to Newcomer Funeral Chapel 335 East State Road 434 Longwood FL 32750 for viewing Friday June 8th 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a memorial service at 1 p.m.
