Gordon Eugene Dixon, age 85, of Orlando, Florida passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, June 4, 2018.

Gordon was born in Blackshear, GA on October 21st, 1932, but his “government” birthdays were the 3rd, 10th, and 22nd. He was the son of the late Joe Allen and Eva Evelyn (Roberson) Dixon. He was a longtime plasterer in construction before his retirement. Gordon honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Ann (Hall) Dixon; his children, Donald Eugene Dixon, Phyllis Evelyn Smith, Deborah Elaine Guthrie, and James Reynolds Dixon; eight grandchildren, Brandi Ann Patanjo, Abigail Elizabeth Paugh, Lauren Ashley Coffman, Brandon Lee Smith, Shannon Brooke Hough, Austin Keith Smith, Emily Elizabeth Dance, and Mary Katherine "Katy" Dixon; four great-grandchildren, Aidan Michael Patanjo, Charlotte Ruth Patanjo, Henry Walker Hough, and Rylan PX Paugh; four sisters, Betty Sapp, Clarice Cox, Mary Jo Lumley, Vannie Mae Laney; and his four brothers, Truman Dixon, Walter Dixon, Archie Dixon, and Rozwell Dixon.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Pine Castle, 1001 Hoffner Ave, Orlando, FL 32809; with Pastor Bill Burkhalter officiating.

Military Honors by the United States Army Honor Guard will be rendered immediately following the service.

Visitation will be at the church on Monday, June 11th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
