Richard Albert Marron, 95, loving father and friend passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Rio Pinar Health Care.

Richard was born on June 7, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late John and Helena (Kirk) Marron. He honorably and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the World War II era. Richard was a longtime iron worker of Local #3 and Superintendent for the Pittsburgh Board of Education before his retirement. After retirement, Richard and his wife Eleanor loved being snowbirds in West Palm Beach, FL and Conneaut Lake, PA. He enjoyed his passion of woodworking, playing golf and being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his two sons, Richard G. Marron and his wife Wilma, and Bruce Edward Marron and his wife Lucille; his daughter, Patricia L. Marron; five grandchildren, Alana M. Mondul, Christopher J. Marron, Miranda Chalmers, Jessie L. Carballo, and Laura Blancero; and five great-grandchildren, Mikenna Mondul, Adin Mondul, Morgan Mondul, Eleanor Marron, and Abigal Chalmers.

Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor; and two brothers, Donald Marron and William Marone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 9, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1501 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32828, at 1:30 pm.

Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL 32822, on Monday, July 9 from 10:00 am until 12 noon.

Committal services with full military honors will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 11:00 am.
