He was born on December 30, 1964 in Caguas, PR, son of the late Felix Ortiz and Maria Soto. Carlos will be remembered for being very close to his children, his brother, and his nephews in Connecticut. He was a fan of the New York Yankees.
Carlos is survived by his wife of seven years, Grisel Ortiz; his two sons, Carlos Ortiz, Jr. and Joshua Ortiz; two daughters, Alysha Carating and Elizabeth Ortiz; his brother, Pedro Ortiz and his wife Maria; his sister, Wanda Ortiz; a step-daughter, Jarilynn Santiago; and three grandchildren, Xavier Ortiz, Hunter Carating, and Alexa.
He is preceded in death by her parents, Felix Ortiz and Maria Soto.
Funeral Services are Monday, August 6, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Orlando), 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida 32822.
Visitation is Monday, August 6, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
