Carmen Serrano, age 85, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Carmen was born to Manuel Fernandez and Carmen Rodriguez on June 22, 1933 in Havana, Cuba. On December 30, 1961, she married the love her life, Lorenzo Serrano. At age 38, she left Cuba with her husband Lorenzo, and children, Maria Del Carmen and Lorenzo to find a better life for her family in the United States.

Carmen was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and loved to go fishing. Carmen dedicated herself to her husband, children, and family; always having a comforting word or advice. She always put others before herself. Her love and dedication will never be forgotten, she will always live in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband Lorenzo; children Maria Espinosa and Lorenzo Serrano; grandchildren, Raul V. Espinosa, Martin M. Espinosa, and Jacqueline R. Serrano.

Carmen was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Olga Fernandez.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822, with Fr. Tito Rojas officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 12 noon until 2 pm.

Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
