Sandee Lynn Marano
1957 - 2019

Sandee Lynn Marano (Meyer) passed away January 17, 2019 in Orlando, FL at the age of 61.

Sandee was born December 13, 1957 in Lawrenceville, NJ to the late Judy (Duncan) Meyer (d.1982) and Walter Helmute Meyer, who passed away in 2000. Sandee was born prematurely with her twin sister, Robin, and became an instant celebrity at weighing just 2½ pounds. The news of the twin birth made front page news in Lawrenceville.

Sandee’s daughter, Lindsay Michelle Marano, age 35, preceded her in death on October 1, 2018 in St. Petersburg, FL.

Sandee is survived by her husband, Anthony (Tony) Marano and her daughter, Jenni Elizabeth Marano, sisters Robin Berghorn (Doug) of St. Cloud and Kimberley Bates (Jeff) of Lake Worth, and brothers, John Meyer (Phyllis) of Largo and Collin Meyer (Resha) of Jupiter.

Sandee and Tony were married March 28, 1981 at St. John Vianney Church in Orlando. Sandee graduated from Katharine Gibbs Secretarial College in Boston, MA. During her professional career, she worked for Days Inn Corporation, Altamonte Springs Police Chief, Pizza Hut Corporation of Central Florida, Darden Corporation and Red Lobster Corporation in Orlando.

Sandee was always kind and helpful wherever and whenever it was needed. She was a loyal and hard worker who always believed in doing her best. She believed in going above and beyond and earned the respect of her employers as a result of her outstanding work and ability. Sandee’s friends appreciated her very much and enjoyed Sandee’s sense of loyalty and dedication to helping them any chance she could. Sandee organized fund raisers, helped recruit tutors, found housing and provided financial help for friends and relatives. Sandee was a great organizer, and everyone depended on her when it came to organizing parties, family reunions, Christmas gift exchanges and travel.

A joint Celebration of Life for Sandee and her daughter Lindsay will be held 11:00AM Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Summit Church, Herndon Campus, 735 Herndon Avenue, Orlando FL 32803.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Sandee’s name to a charity of your choice.
