John J "the Tomato Man" Mc Alee, age 87, of Titusville, Florida passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Edward M Poe Care Center. A native of Johnsonburg, PA, he came to Titusville from there in 1977. John had served in the US Navy and following his discharge began working as a seaman supporting the Coast Guard and Navy as a member of the Military Sealift Command. Following his retirement he and his wife, Fran, operated a produce stand here in Titusville for 43 years. He loved animals, fishing, shooting pool and bowling. A catholic, he also had been a member of the American Legion and the NRA.


He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Frances "Fran"; son: Kenneth Alton of Titusville; sister: Pat (Robert) Murphy of Johnsonburg, PA; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
