Romanita Cruz, 103, passed away on March 14, 2019. She was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico on May 10, 1915.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Santiago Rosa and Antonia Garcia; her sister, Dolores Colon; and her niece, Nancy Ferenz.

Romanita is survived by her niece, Nidia (Willy) Aviles; her great-nephew, Rick (Cari) Aviles; and her great-nieces, Megan (William) Valdivia and Angela (Roberto) Sanchez.

Romanita loved animals, taking in those who were sick and needy, nursing them back to health and providing a loving home. She was a true humanitarian, always there for anyone who needed her. She never had children of her own, but she doted on her nieces and nephews as though they were hers. She will be remembered by those who love her as one of the most wonderful women in the world.

A graveside service will take place on March 20, 2019 at 1:30pm at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando, Florida.
