Harold Walter Winnie, age 82, of Port St John, Florida passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Edward M Poe Care Center. A native of Detroit, Michigan he came to Port St John from Michigan 7 years ago. Harold had served in the US Navy and then in the National Guard following his Naval service. While in the National Guard he trained dogs to detect ordnances. He was a tool and die maker for Kelsey Hayes for 30 years. He was an animal lover and also enjoyed hunting and ice fishing. He was a Catholic by faith.


Survivors include his sons: Pete of Port St John, Michael (Lynn) of Michigan, Timothy (Rachael) of Michigan, Andrew (Wendy) of Michigan; daughter: Lesha of Michigan; step-daughter: Leanne also of Michigan; and brother: Don (Lucy) of Port Charlotte, FL and seven grandchildren.
