Marie was born on September 16, 1925 in Ashford, WV; daughter of the late Jesse Kinder and Ethel (Barker) Kinder Stephenson. She was a member of Good Shepherd Free Methodist Church in Kissimmee. Marie was an independent woman who enjoyed gardening, carpentry, and sewing. She was an avid reader who loved to read her Bible. Marie loved to listen to music, particularly Gospel and country music.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Patricia Hayes and her partner, Danny Caraballo; her brother, Cebert Kinder; her sister, Esther Martin; her grandson, Richard Michael Hayes; and a stepson, Dana Garten.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Orville Eugene Clark; and her second husband, Ira Garten.
Funeral Services are Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida 32822. with Pastor Donald Kaufmann officiating.
Visitation will precede the service on Friday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
