Rafaela “Mima” Martinez, age 75, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Orlando.

Rafaela was born on November 16, 1943 in Moca, PR; daughter of the late Mateo and Irma Hernandez. She was an entrepreneur who had an artistic touch. She was a ceramics maker who custom made vases and flowers by hand. Rafaela was also a wonderful cook; she was a baker who specialized in desserts for several area Spanish restaurants. Most of all, she will be remembered by her family as an amazing mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her son, Julio Jimenez; her three daughters, Lisa Hernandez, Elisabet Tanner, and Noemi Cabrera; Grandchildren, Gabriel Hernandez, Daniella Hernandez, Julio Jimenez, Jr., Aiden Tanner, Julian Cabrera, and Tyler Tanner; two brothers, Wilfredo Hernandez, and Jose Hernandez; and two sisters, Nancy Santiago, and Raquel Sudol.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Pablo Martinez, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Faith Assembly of God - Stephen Chapel, 9307 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Florida 32825, with Pastor Gerson Torres, officiating.

Visitation will be at the chapel on Friday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Graveside services will be on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:00 am Greenwood Cemetery, 1603 Greenwood St, Orlando, FL.
