Elaine Wagner (née Huizinga) of Longwood, Fl passed away on Thursday July 11, 2019 at the age of 75.

Elaine was born on November 29, 1943 in Houwerzijil, Netherlands to Ulfert (Alfred) and Aafke (Effie) Huizinga. Elaine married Ronald F Wagner on July 12, 1963. After moving from Homewood Flossmore, IL to Florida she started working at Toys ‘R’ Us in Altamonte Springs, where she retired after 20 years. Elaine then started working as a lunch lady at various local schools in the Longwood area.Elaine was a very devout Christian from a young age and continued to share her faith and her testimony to the very end. She attended Northland Church in Longwood.

Ron and Elaine had two daughters, Michele (Richard) Poore of Lake Mary and Cynthia (Lea) Bennett of Longwood, and two granddaughters Tiffany (Scott Lanphear) and Kaylee, and two grandsons Derek and Dakota. She is survived by her two sisters, Trena Smit and Barbara Bailer of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents Ulfert ( Alfred) and Aafke ( Effie) Huizinga and sister Shirley Bouma of Michigan.

Her celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday July 21, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Longwood (335 East State Road 434 Longwood, Florida). Visitation will be from 2 pm to 3 pm with services from 3 pm to 4 pm, reception with light refreshments to follow. Flowers and condolences can be sent to 335 East State Road 434 Longwood, Fl or in lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Vitas Hospice or American Cancer Society.

The family would like to thank all caregivers for their efforts, loving care and relentless dedication to Elaine through out her fight.
