In Memory Of
Margaret M St. John
1939 - 2019

Margaret St. John, 80, passed away on October 4, 2019, at her home in Longwood, Florida. Born in Elkin, North Carolina, on August 31, 1939, she was the eldest of five children.

Margaret was predeceased by the love of her life, William (“Bill”) St. John, on August 16, 2019. Margaret was seventeen when she met Bill, marrying him on June 21, 1956. They were married for 63 years, and had two children. In the early 1960s the couple moved to Central Florida and settled in Forest City, today’s Altamonte Springs.

During their exciting life together, they were entrepreneurs and very active in Seminole County. Margaret enjoyed raising her family, and was a proud homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and decorating. She was especially skilled at crafting; she would often make teddy bears as gifts for children in the community. Amongst friends and family, it was said that if an item sat for too long in one place, Margaret would paint it. She was warm, loving, and a bright ray of sunlight to all who knew her.

Margaret is survived by her son Barry, daughter Bonita, and grandson Daniel.

The family will have a service for Margaret and Bill on Saturday, October 19th at 2:00 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 335 East State Road 434, Longwood.
