Jeanette Jan (Weiss) Lazaroff, 80, passed away on December 16, 2019 peacefully at home among family. Jan was born in Newark, NJ on July 27, 1939, the only child to the late Arthur and Lena (Hecht) Weiss.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Eugene Lazaroff, who was born December 16, 1923 and passed away October 28, 1996. Jan and Gil will be reunited and remembered in a dual service at the East Orlando Chapel Newcomer Funeral Home.

Jan and Gil met in New York City and married on March 13, 1971 in Greenwich Village, NYC. They had a unique and loving relationship. They loved traveling, visiting the museums and historical areas of Rome, Paris, Florence and Jerusalem. They loved their four puppies, all German Shepherds.

Jan’s lifelong career was an accountant and tax preparer. She developed a successful Bookkeeping and Tax Service Business.

Survivors are Gilbert’s seven children, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Advent Health Hospice care for their exceptional care of Jan; and to Newcomer Funeral Home for their personalized attention to our family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando with Chaplain Wanda Davis, officiating.

Visitation will precede the service on Saturday from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Inurnment will follow the memorial service at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, FL.

Jan will be laid to rest next to her parents at the cemetery.
