Robert Stewart "Bob" Runion
1935 - 2020

Robert "Bob" S. Runion, age 84, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lily King and John Runion.

Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley Runion; his daughter, Nanette Runion, his son, Jason Runion, and his daughter, Mary (Michael) Blair; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Runion, grandson, Alex Ehrecke, grandson, Damian Blair, grandson, Ian Runion, and granddaughter, Layla Blair.

Bob spent eight years in the United States Air Force, stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, where he stayed once he left the Air Force in 1966. He married his wife, Shirley, in 1970 and had two children, Jason and Mary. The Runion family moved to Central Florida in 1981, where he would work as a technical writer for Martin-Marietta. Bob was also contracted by the Walt Disney Corporation for work as well. He loved family history, and spent the last few years working on his own family genealogy. Bob also loved being a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church, and he was also an ordained minister; he was active in prison ministry.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Newcomer Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm. A memorial service in Bob's honor will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, Bob's family has asked that donations be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
