In Loving Memory of Kathryn Elizabeth (Kate) McManus

Kate McManus of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Age of 74. Kate was an only child born to Raymond and Wilma Capp McManus on September 30, 1945.

After graduation from high school in 1962, Kate completed nursing school and took her first job at Mercy Hospital in Denver, Colorado. In 1968 she moved to the Boston area where she later earned her Bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College in Easton, MA. Kate remained in Boston and enjoyed a career in healthcare as a nurse and later in nursing administration until she retired in 2010.

Kate was an active member of Blessed Trinity’s Catholic Council of Women and she was the coordinator of the parish’s Second Blessings Thrift Shoppe and Boutique. Both of these, but particularly her involvement in the Thrift Shoppe gave her great pleasure.

Kate is survived by her church family at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, two cousins, Jeanne of Orlando and Bill of Adel, Iowa and many loving friends from Florida to New England and all across the country.

A funeral Mass is planned for Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 11am at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 4545 Anderson Rd., Orlando, FL 32812

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
