In Memory Of
Paskal LeRoy "Roy" Capps
1935 - 2020

Paskal LeRoy “Roy” Capps, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in Longwood, Florida. He was born on April 1, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Noble Capps and Dessie May Walters.

Roy and his wife, Jo-Ann (D’Ordine) Capps, were happily married for the past 36 years. He had a loving daughter, Cheryl Royer and her husband, Tom; a sister, Debarah Forsythe, of Lakeland, Florida; two grandchildren, Ryan Gay and David Sink; and one great-grandson, Danny. He loved Jodi Sink, too, who was like a devoted daughter to him.
He also had a son, Gerald Capps, who sadly preceded him in death.

Roy will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but a multitude of happy memories remain.

Family was of the utmost importance to Roy. He absolutely loved spending time with everyone, especially on the holidays. They remember how he would always make sure to wear a coordinating holiday “accent” for each occasion, such as bunny ears on Easter, a Santa hat on Christmas, etc.

Roy loved going to the casino, and he enjoyed playing poker with friends around their complex, too. Disney was also one of his favorite things. He was a loyal fan of the Detroit Tigers. Roy served his country in the United States Navy and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
