Marilyn developed polio at an early age resulting in a disability. Braces, crutches and later a wheelchair did not prevent her from graduating from Our Lady of Angels Academy in Montreal, Canada and receiving a Bachelors in Music degree from Notre Dame College in Manchester New Hampshire with honors. She continued advanced studies in Education at Notre Dame College and Boston University. Marilyn taught at Miss Jaques Private School and gave private piano lessons in her home for many years.
She was a member of the Professional and Women’s Beta Sigma Phi. She was active in the Religious Education Program at Saints Peter and Paul Church where she was a member.
She is survived by her sister Eleanor, her brother Fred, her two sons, Mark and wife, Lisa and Peter and wife Bernice, her six grandchildren Camille, Alex, Sophia, Zachary, Carly and Luke and her great-grandchild Nora.
A prayer vigil will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3806 Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, Florida) November 1st at 6 pm. A funeral will be held at Saints Peter and Paul (5300 Old Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park, Florida) November 2nd at 10:30 am.
