Carlina Rivera
1929 - 2020

Carlina Rivera, 91, mother of eight, passed away on November 16, 2020 in Orlando, Florida. She was born on November 3, 1929 in Vega Alta Puerto Rico.

As an adult, Carlina moved to Brooklyn, New York with her late husband, Roberto Santana, and their children. Later in life, she started a Mary Kay business. In the 1990's, she returned to her beloved Vega Alta, where she continued her business as a Mary Kay Consultant and was known by the neighborhood kids for her delicious "limbers." In 2017, she relocated to Orlando with her daughter Evelyn and son in law Vincent Watkins.

Carlina loved the Lord. Carlina will be remembered by her strength and resilience during difficult personal and financial times. For her perseverance, resilience, giving heart, sassiness, lively sense of humor (that will make blush the most serious ones), as well as her "coritos."

She is survived by three sons Roberto, Jr., Efrain, and David Santana, and daughter Evelyn Watkins; brother Gervacio Rivera (94), sister, Genoveva Rivera (92); 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at Avalon Church in Orlando, Florida, details will be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests to please consider a donation to the Alzheimers Association.
