Marisabel (Marie) R. (Barroso) Levine, 63, of Winter Springs, FL passed away on January 11, 2021. She was born on August 30, 1957 to parents Mario and Isabel Barroso in Havana, Cuba. Marie later traveled from Cuba to California and finally to Florida, where she would meet her soulmate, Harvey, many years later.

Marie received her degree from Rollins College and then dedicated 35 years to working for Progress Energy and Duke Energy. Marie was introduced to Harvey by their hairdresser in 1998 and they married October 22, 2000. They spent 22 beautiful years together, enjoying every moment of one another’s company. Marie is survived by her husband, Harvey, step-daughter, Tiffany (Sean) Griffin, grandsons, Jack and Cole Griffin, sister, Silvia (Jim) Lakey, nephew, Quenten Lakey, sister-in-law, Bonnie (Michael) Blackman, her aunts, Maria del Carmen Barroso, Ana Maria Garcia, and Teresita Fernandez, and her cousins, Susana Garcia, Lorena (Garcia) Alberni, Angel Fernandez, Jr., Ariel Fernandez, and Richard Garcia, as well as several second cousins that she loved deeply. She was predeceased by her parents, Mario and Isabel Barroso, and her cousin, Juan Pablo Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 15th from 3 PM to 5 PM at Newcomer South Seminole Chapel. Please visit any time during that time to help with social distancing and please wear a mask. In leu of flowers, the family requests that you hug your family and share acts of kindness with others, as this best represents Marie’s life. When you see a hawk flying above, please remember your most beautiful moments with Marie.

“The angels came and took my lady to a place of peace and no pain. I was by her side at our home and she was never in pain and passed away peacefully.

Marie has been the love of my life for over 22 years. Thanks for all the prayers

We have cruised the Caribbean, been to the Vatican and seen the sounds and sites of Alaska.

We have watched Tiffany and Sean and Jack and Cole start their fantastic life as a family. We ate at the best and worst restaurants and spent our life together enjoying life to its fullest.

We watched the sunrise and sunset holding each other close. We were meant to be together from the first time we met.

The story of our hair stylist introducing the Jewish boy from Pittsburgh who had the best daughter ever plus a dog and a cat to the Cuban girl that had never been married, no kids, no animals and yet we were the perfect two hearts to join.

Those that know our family best know we believe all of our family that has passed have been intertwined with the Hawk. So my beautiful lady is now flying with the Hawks in the lords heaven and will watch over me until I can join her and see the world from high above.

Love you lady forever ”
