In Memory Of
RW Braxton
1929 - 2021
In 1948, Buddy joined the US Air Force and was very successful earning the rank of an E9 which less than 1% of the military obtained. After retiring from the US Air Force, he continued to pursue a college education and worked at private businesses, one of which included the Florida State Department of Revenue. Buddy's goal focused mindset led him into real estate where he once again became successful. Neighbors affectionately referred to RW as the mayor of their neighborhood. He took great care and concern for his tenants. RW was a family man, who enjoyed get togethers any time there was food. He especially loved telling corny jokes to anyone who would listen and enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for country and blue grass music.
RW is survived by his wife, Betty Jean of 68 years; his sons Russell Lee (wife Eva), and Stephen Joseph (Tampa) along with two grandsons, Travis Lee and Russell Lee (Rusty) all of Orlando/Oviedo/Winter Park areas; his youngest sister, Truitt Braxton Curry (Texas).
Visitation is Friday, March 12, 2021 from 1pm to 2pm with memorial service starting at 2pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (Winter Park Chapel).
