Dot lost her life due to a recent fall on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the age of 89 7/8 years young with her family by her side.

Dot was born on March 2, 1931 to Margie & Edward Ratcliff in Clarksburg, WV. She along with late brother James E. Ratcliff, II. She enjoyed the marching band while graduating WV High School. She attended all of her schooling in WV with an Associates Degree in Business/Financial. Shortly after college she married her high school sweetheart, Geoffrey Page Jones, Jr. They we happily married for 21 years with their son, Geoffrey Page Jones, III and daughter DeeKim (Dee) Marie Hulbert.

Following the end of her marriage to Geoff, she remarried Harry (Bob) Robert Myers and assisted with raising his two boys, Michael & Mark Myers (twins). They were happily married for 12 years until Bob lost his fight to cancer in December, 1989. One of Bob’s service in our community was the Lion’s Club. Back then women were not allowed to be a Lion, so Dot joined the Lioness’s Club, September, 1982 which was for women only. Boy did she soar with this wonderful outreach!

Dot held Regional Director for 3 years; Past District Secretary Regional Coordinator for the District, Treasurer for the Hearing Program for 2 years; She was a Director for the Florida Lions Camp and made profitable. She received special permission from Lions International to act as a Chairman for the Lions Youth Exchange Program, in which she was active for 2 years.

Lioness Dot received numerous awards: The District President’s Citation, Lioness of the Year and other certificates of Recognition for Service. She was the final Past District Governor in Lioness.

Lioness Dot received the highest honor when she was presented the “Melvin E. Jones Award. Then she became a LION!
Lion Dot has been very active in attending all of the District 35-O Regional, Council of Governors, Cabinet meetings, Hearing & Speech (she even helped get hearing aids for a baby), and held down all the local offices in the Oviedo-Winter Springs chapter. She attended this wonderful outreach for 38 year.
Dot’s hobbies included flower arranging so her local Lion’s club quickly asked her to decorate at all their events, which received many compliments. She also was an animal lover.

Dot is survived by her son, Geoffrey P. Jones, III; daughter, DeeKim Marie Hulbert (Ronald, husband); Mark A. Myers (Wendy wife); Mike Myers.
Her Grandchildren gave her a nickname of “GG”!: Kimberly Hulbert & Katherine Ewing (twins); Brandon Myers, Jordan Myers, Emily & Ashley Hulbert, Kyla Myers, Alana Dauven, Shauni Myers.

She was blessed with 15 Great Grandchildren, any many nieces and nephews that loved her!

Due to the pandemic there will be no public service.
