Mary Louise Wood age 83, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 29,2021 in Orlando,Florida. Mary Lou was born on April 10,1938 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Grace (Curry) Monahan.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Thomas G. Wood. Her 4 children, Lisa Jodlowski(Stanley) Orlando,Florida; Thomas J. Wood, Asheville, North Carolina; Edward J. Wood(Sharon) Titusville, Florida and Laura Allinder(John) Cookeville, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother Gary Monahan (Diana); sister Rita Kowallis; sister-in-laws Veronica Monahan, Sandee Monahan, Nancy Bean, Patty Wells(David) in addition to many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and family who will miss her greatly.
In addition to her parents Mary Lou was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Charlotte Wood, sister Grace Snyder, brother Edward Monahan and brother Joseph Monahan.
Mary Lou enjoyed traveling, cruising and playing slot games on her computer. She most loved spending time with her beloved family cooking and caring for them.
A viewing will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions 895 S Goldenrod Road Orlando, Florida 32822 on Saturday, June12th from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Mary Lou’s honor to the National Kidney Foundation.
