Melvin Ray Wilcox age 70, on August 15th, 2021 life journey ended in Orlando, FL.

Melvin was born March 8th, 1951 the eldest child of Harvey Lee Wilcox and Josephine Edmondson Wilcox in Edgecombe County, North Carolina.

Despite life challenges, Melvin thrived in every aspect of his life and was able to provide a wonderful life for himself and his family. Melvin had a big heart; he was a true giver to all. He started his owned small engine repair shop and served the Orland’s Pine Hills area for over 20 years. Melvin was a real pillar of the community and provided shelter, jobs, food and any other resources needed.
Melvin was known for his creative, unforgettable, and original style. He was a man that always stood out in a crowd, the showstopper that everyone looked forward to seeing.
Apart from his attire Melvin was a simple man he enjoyed fishing, dancing, being around those he loved and sharing good conversation.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents Harvey Lee Wilcox, Josephine Edmondson-Wilcox, and his siblings Gary D. Bellamy Harvey L Wilcox Jr., Lee Van Wilcox, and Bobby L Green.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Gale F. Witcher, his sons Tyrus Donte Wilcox, Melvin Ray Wilcox Esquire, and his children of marriage LaTressa Witcher, Terryon Witcher, Tanetta Witcher, Ke’von Witcher, Felica Witcher. Siblings Lois (William) Wilcox Miles, Arthur Edmondson, Frankie D Bunn, James (Carolyn) Wilcox, Harvey (Joyce) Lee Wilcox Jr. William (Susan) Wilcox, Rosa M Wilcox, Mamie (Lou) Bush, Teresa Green, Debra Martin, Ruthie P Green, and Calvin Green, honorary brother Byron Mitchell, honorary son Jose Davis Trujillo, and all of his beloved grandchildren Tyra Andrew, Ty’juan Thomas, Kyre Wilcox, Kamari Wilcox, Kamiya Wilcox, Kyra Wilcox, Kyrel Wilcox, Jada Wilcox and Josiah Wilcox, and all of his wonderful nieces and nephew.
