In Memory Of
Eralio Justo Alfonso
1930 - 2021
Eralio is survived by his children Eralio Luis Alfonso and Maria Alfonso; grandchildren Eralio Edward Alfonso, Jessica Camacho Ralda, Roberto Alfonso, Enrique Hernandez and great grandson, Caleb Sanchez.
Eralio was born on August 6, 1930 in San Jose, Cuba to Maria J. Cabellero and Abelardo Alfonso. He married Hilda Ramos de la Rosa in 1957. Following the communist takeover of Cuba, he, wife Hilda and children fled from Cuba in 1966 and arrived in Miami, FL. Though Eralio may have left Cuba, the love of his fatherland, never left him.
Eralio was an avid student of Cuban history, politics and culture. Eralio also had a deep-rooted love for classical Cuban folk music and Cuban cuisine, especially sweets like flan. Though it was painful to have to leave his fatherland, Eralio was eternally grateful to the United States for welcoming him and his family. Eralio became an American citizen in 1976.
Eralio was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was always there to support those he loved, without fail. He will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life Friday September 17, 2021. Visitation and services will be held at Newcomers Funeral Home from 9:00am - 11:00am at 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando, FL 32822.
