1925-2021

Zenonas "Zen" Katarskas, born February 14, 1925, passed away peacefully at home in Orlando on September 20, 2021.

Zen was a proud Lithuanian immigrant arriving in the United States in 1956. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering and worked for many years in the Automation and Aerospace Industries. The most important thing to Zen was his family. He loved animals, sports such as tennis and soccer, and playing poker with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Judith of Orlando, Florida, daughters Virginia Carson (Alex) of Plano, Texas, Regina Gary of Grapevine, Texas, (Bert) of Fort Worth, Texas, Ilona Mayer (Gary) of Orlando, Florida. Grandchildren Zane Carson, Brandon Carson, Luke Carson, Brittany Mayer, Katie Gary, Lee Gary, Mitchell Gary. Also, family members located in Lithuania and Europe.

Visitation with family and friends will be Monday September 27, 2021 from 3 pm to 4 pm with funeral services to follow from 4 pm to 4:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida 32822.
