Maria Dolores Wilford, 61, of Orlando, Florida was called home to the lord on January 11th, 2022.
Maria was born on November 4th, 1960, in Hartford, Connecticut to parents Paulino Vega and Naida Padrevita who predeceased her in 2005. She relocated with family to Enfield, Connecticut in the early 1970’s and graduated from Enrico Fermi High School in 1978.
Maria was employed by The Lego Group in Enfield for almost two decades, working as an automated line technician before relocating to Orlando, Florida. She was a resident of Orlando for over twenty years where she was employed by the Seminole County Tax Collectors office as a Senior Tax Collector.
In 2003, Maria met Gary Wilford in Orlando, FL and the couple wed in May of 2010. Maria is survived by her Spouse, son Dale Scott and his wife Jordana Scott of Longwood, FL and son Alex Scott of Altamonte Springs, FL. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Zachary Wilford of North Carolina and Jeffery Warden of Daytona Beach, FL, siblings Paul Vega of Longwood, FL, Yvette Philibert of Somers, CT and Denise Weaver of Enfield, CT. Maria loved being “Nani” to her seven grandchildren Alexander Scott, Jaxson Scott, Jordan Christiansen, Sofia McDermott-Scott, Aubrey Wilford, Gavin Wilford and Aralyn Wilford.
Maria loved the outdoors and was an avid beachgoer, often visiting New Symrna and Cocoa Beach.
A memorial for Maria will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822 on January 29th, 2022 at 1pm.
